ImmoStories
Jan 2025 – Oct 2025 • Reels Meet Real Estate
The Brief
ImmoScout24 wanted to bring short-form video content to its app — inspired by platforms like TikTok and Instagram — to attract younger audiences (Gen Z), align with current content consumption trends, and increase overall time spent on the platform.
My Part: As lead UX Designer, I collaborated with Brand & Marketing to create the concept & later on accompanied the development of the feature.
Problem 🔥
Simply embedding social videos into the app wasn’t enough. Property seekers open ImmoScout24 with a clear intent, meaning videos risked being overlooked or perceived as irrelevant if not directly tied to their search journey.
Solution 💡
A video-first discovery experience that integrates seamlessly into the property search flow, combined with Social Media Content.
Prominent placement with relevant content
Videos appear directly on the home feed upon opening the app, but are displayed only after a user performs a search — ensuring they match the user’s criteria and intent. To draw attention to the videos, there is a short preview of the video.
The second placement is reserved for social media content, which will be providing users with relevant insights, tipps & entertainment.
Dynamic Video Listings at Scale
The videos are short and ideally vertical in format — created either by realtors or automatically generated through AI from existing listing photos. This ensures a visually engaging experience and a continuous stream of fresh content, without relying on additional effort from agents.
Story-like navigation:
Users browse up to 10 videos per day, with tappable “stories” showing key details (price, size, rooms, location) and direct links to the full listing.
After video listings, users transition into content like Hausgeflüster or Search Tips for a lifestyle-inspired experience.
